Tom's pieces have truly stood the test of time, and I am thrilled to make this rare collection available for fine art collectors and curators to acquire and own.
Stubbs Fine Art LLC is a legacy collection of prints made from pastel originals by Tom Stubbs of Grand Junction, Colorado. Tom was an accomplished artist and athlete, drawing inspiration from his deep connection with and love for nature.
His works capture landscapes from Colorado and the American Southwest, to storm-swept plains and the tropics of Hawaii.
Tom was extraordinarily skilled; his works reflect a life in pursuit of adventure, exquisite landscapes, light and water.
His personality was rich with humor. He was well-loved, well-known and deeply revered for his physical mastery as a runner, mountain climber, cyclist, surfer, and diver.
Tom took his last breath in December of 2000 while training in breath-holding for the US Free diving team, which he had recently been invited to join as an alternate.
Tom Stubbs possessed a rare artistic sensitivity, with remarkable attention to detail, a masterful command of color and an uncanny ability to bring water to life on canvas.
He is greatly missed and it is an honor to carry his legacy forward through his Art.
